The IRS has released Form W-4, Employee’s Withholding Allowance Certificate, for use by employees and employers in 2017.
Form W-4, released Dec. 23, must be completed by employees to ensure that employers withhold the correct federal income tax from their pay. A new W-4 should be renewed annually and after an employee experiences changes in personal or financial situations.
The updated W-4 is included in TLC’s Paperless Onboarding for New Hires and existing employees can update their withholding’s within TLC HUB. The paper form can be found on the IRS’s website here.
