We focus on offering the best solutions for our clients, backed by the best people. If you don’t have the best people, the rest is meaningless.— Kevin Welch, Shareholder, CEO to the Best Team Ever
In 2010, the first payroll was run by Sue Shirley. At that time Journey was named TLC, which stood for Timely – Local – Committed. Sue and Kevin started this business with a focus on bringing service back the payroll industry. Though the name changed in 2017 as an evolution of the company, the heart of TLC will never fade. Take the heart of TLC, add being innovative on a regular basis, and you have a Journey.
Curve balls just mean you need to adjust your swing to hit a home run. Journey is transparent internally and externally. The belief that a fast-growing company can grow in a perfect straight line is fiction, and Journey leaders know that. Leadership at Journey owns the black eyes and is proud of them. It makes the entire team stronger while moving forward shoulder to shoulder.
Care about clients, the person next to you, and the company moving forward to help more businesses and employees. If a client needs you to go one mile and that’s as far as you go, you’re not a good fit for Journey’s team.
Journey has been very fortunate to work with amazing individuals and companies in the region they serve. The feeling of giving back to the local communities is critical to the shareholders at Journey.
Continue to strengthen our offerings and our team. Working with the best programmers and service minded individuals is key. Journey will look to add locations in only the right circumstances. We love the recognition of our growth and sales, but the true example of what Journey is about is our industry leading retention.
